How to Add a Lesson to a Course?

Ulama > Left Navigation Bar > Products > Courses > Select Course > Section Management

1. Follow the above-mentioned workflow to land on the Section Management tab.

2. Click the + icon from the section you want to add a lesson to. This opens the Add Lesson popup.

3. Enter the lesson title in the Lesson Title field.

4. Click the Create button.

5. In case you want to create and view the lesson, click the Create and View button.

As a result, you land on the lesson details screen. The details of the lesson are recorded in 5 steps.

Video Management

This section allows you to upload videos to the lesson.

To upload a video from system storage or external source, click the Load Media button. This opens a popup allowing you to choose the media file from your device, URL, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

To upload a video from Vimeo, click the Load from Vimeo button.

Content Management

In this section, the title of the section is populated in the Title field.

The section you created this lesson for is populated in the Section dropdown.

You can change the default language from the Primary Language dropdown.

Select the teachers for this lesson from the Teachers dropdown.

Choose the awards category you want to link to this course from the Category for Awards dropdown.

In case you want to enable this lesson in trial mode, mark the Enabled in Trial Version checkbox.

Click the Browse button from Preview to choose a file from your system storage for the lesson preview.

Enter a brief description to appear under the lesson title using the Card Description textbox.

Enter a brief description to appear under the video title using the Small Description textbox.

Use the About rich text editor to include some info into what you are going to talk about.

Once the required information is filled, click the Behavior Management tab.

Behavior Management

This section lets you set the visibility of the lesson.

Using the Enabling dropdown, set the number of days after which you want to enable the course.

Once selected, click the Attachment Files tab.

Attachment Files

This section allows you to upload any attachments relevant to the lesson.

To add an attachment from your system storage, click the +Add Attachment button.

Alternatively, you can drag and drop the files.

Once the required files are uploaded, click Transcription and Captions.

Transcription and Captions

This section allows you to create a transcription for the video(s) you have uploaded.

To generate transcription automatically, click the Automatic Transcription button. The transcription is populated automatically in the rich text editor.

To preview the lesson, click the Preview button.

To delete the lesson, click the Delete button.

To move to the transcription for the previous video, click the Previous Video button.

To publish the lesson, enable the Lesson Published toggle button.

Once the required information is filled, click the Save button.
